Basic cooking skills are a benefit to independent living. The knowledge and skills acquired will be life changing and be usable for the rest of ones life. At D training academy, training our young is a paramount facet of working within their business model. Cooking adds great empowerment to the students along with a great sense of achievement. The outcome of one of our courses is life changing with life long benefits. Our practical approach to training has given numerous individuals confidence, awareness and the tenacity to pursue catering or hospitality as a career. We are a non- funded organisation that work with third party companies to provide the following course. Our class size ranges from 8-25 students. All our services are based around food, its preparation and the hospitality industry. |

TRAINING COURSES EACH SATURDAY STARTING OCTOBER 2010. This course is the fabulous way for an individual to fall in love with the art of cooking. Although this course is condensed, the student will leave satisfied after being taught how to produce a full course meal from scratch. This Obviously this is mainly a hands-on course. 2. Cooking skills 12-session programme The 12-session course covers a period of 6-12 weeks work at a slower pace and covers more depth in food; shopping skills are challenged and more practical work is followed. An overview of hospitality is covered. This course will consist of some theory. Each student will have the opportunity to leave our course with one credible certification – From our point of view the value of this course is price-less. The student will gain maximum benefit from this course, purchasing, quality, cooking, baking, etiquette and decorum, place setting, exhibitions and working at least one function. Each student will have the opportunity to leave our course with two credible certifications – This course runs through 39 weeks they can be structured to range between 39 (1day) - 78 (2days) - 106 (3days) sessions. 4. WEEKEND LEARNING UNDER 18's 10am - 1.30pm It's a fun day of cooking and quaffing, accompanied with a well-dressed table and chilled bottle of wine. Sampling our tasty efforts before departure with a doggy bag. |
